On June 23–27, 2025, Anna Szarszewska, M.A., represented our university during the International Week "Outdoors and People" at the Sport Sciences School of Rio Maior (Politécnico de Santarém) in Portugal as part of the ERASMUS+ program.
The event brought together participants from across Europe and became a platform for establishing international contacts, exchanging experiences, and promoting academic mobility. In addition to meetings and workshops, participants explored the region's attractions: they visited surfing town Ericeira, learned about the process of making surfboards, and visited the Tapada Nacional de Mafra National Park.
The week was combined with the ICOS+ International Congress of Outdoor Sports, where a passion for outdoor activities met with science, education and health promotion.
Lecturer Dr. Jan Kuriata, professor at the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Library Director Beata Żuber participated in the Erasmus+ program organized by the University of Fogia in Vieste, Italy, from June 16-20, 2025. The main theme was intercultural exchange and building partnerships. The program included numerous university presentations and networking events aimed at promoting international cooperation and the exchange of experiences, developing intercultural competences among university staff, building networks, and exchanging best practices.
The meeting was attended by representatives of over one hundred universities from twenty-three countries.
